Dear friends, my iphone 3gs works normally but i am facing a problem that when i lock it with power button and then try to unlock it, its screen goes white. I have tried restarting it by pressing power and home button. It restarts and works well but ven i lock it and try to unlock screen again goes white. Please help me with this issue.

Did you already try to set it up as new device, if necessary without using the latest backup?
This is indicitive of a hardware problem. Generally when the screen begins displaying white, either the LCD screen itself or some other hardware is failing. Is the phone under warranty? If so, make an appointment at the Genius Bar, or make a call to AppleCare. If not, you can make the choice to see a 3rd party repair or you can contact Apple regarding an out of warranty (OOW) replacement. OOW for a 3GS would be $149/US.
Thanks Chrisj4203, i got my phone checked and it was found as hardware issue. LCD strip was malfunctioning and i got LCD replaced and now my phone is working well but another issue is there that wifi stops working after some time after getting connected and then cant even search any network. Is it a software issue or something else? I restart iphone and then sometimes it starts working and sometimes it shows "No Wifi".
I don't want to sound like a defeatest, however if a 3rd party worked on the phone to replace the LCD, there is also the chance something could have been disconnected in there that would affect the wi-fi. You can try a restore on the iPhone and see if that helps, but if it continues to be spotty when you didn't have the problem before, it could very well be hardware too.
I think there is nothing like disconnection because I faced this issue befoore replacement of LCD. Further, its not a hardware problem and the thing that lead me to this conclusion is that I have tried replacing the Wi-fi module of my iphone but problem was still there. So its a bit complex situation for me as compared to the earlier one.
