Hi Old Toad. I just read your comment and wondered if your saying that I don't have to find a new hosting service and that iWeb will continue to be hosted at Apple, if I can live without the following on my iWeb website:

Features No Longer Available Once MobileMe is Discontinued:

◼ Password protection

◼ Blog and photo comments

◼ Blog search

◼ Hit counter

◼ MobileMe Gallery

No, you do have to find a new hosting service as Apple's hosting service, MobileMe, will be discontinued on June 30th. However,iWeb will still work on other servers but without those features.

You will need a new hosting company. Those are simply features that will not work with a new hosting company.

All of these features can be replaced with 3rd party options.

I found that if I published my site to a folder on my hard drive and then uploaded with a 3rd party FTP client subscriptions to slideshows and the RSS feed were broken. If I published directly from iWeb to the FPT server those two features continued to work correctly.

There's another problem and that's with iWeb's popup slideshows. Once the MMe servers are no longer online the popup slideshow buttons will not display their images.

However, Roddy McKay and I have figured out a way to modify existing sites with those slideshows and iWeb itself so that those images will display as expected once MobileMe servers are gone. How to is described in this tutorial: #26 - How to Modify iWeb So Popup Slideshows Will Work After MobileMe is Discontinued.

MobileMe will cease to exist come June 30 & iCloud will NOT host your website. So, in order for people to be able to access your website you will need to get a third party web host. Which most of them are alot cheeper than MobileMe was.

I use ix webhosting. Their plans start as low as $3.95 a month & they have excellant customer service.

And Old Toad uses their other company Host Excellence

I'm getting even older 😕. I converted my tutorial over to Flux and that particular one is now: iW14 - Modify iWeb So Popup Slideshows Will Work After MobileMe is Discontinued. The main contents page is Old Toad's Tutorials

I followed the recommendations of Old Toad last Fall and Host Excellence worked out very well. Unfortunately today I discovered that when I publish my photo pages no longer work. Heading on page but no photos. Anybody have any Ideas?

State whether you are optimizing the files or not and how you are uploading the files - iWeb FTP or other app.

Are you sure you are uploading all the files and does it display the same in all browsers?

Thanks Roddy, Yes pages are fine with Firefox, Chrome, Opera and Camino. The failure is the 5.14 Safari. How do I start a new topic?
