Installed Windows 7 x64 but missing Drivers

Hi there,

Just installed Windows 7 x64 on my 2011 MacMini via BootCamp. It installed quickly and no errors came up but now that Windows booted up, Device manager does not recognize the Wifi / Ethernet / Sound etc. controllers. I definitely did select 'Install Windows Supporting Software' in BootCamp. How do I get the drivers for Windows?

Thanks. 😕

Performance may depend on which model Mac you're using and the amount of memory. When I first installed Windows 7 on my 2011 Mac mini I had to download and install the Crystal Control Center from the ATI/AMD website to adjust the graphics scaling. The scaling defaulted to 15%, giving me less than full screen resolution on my HDMI monitor. Setting the scaling to 0% solved that problem.

We're trying to install MSWindows 7 Ultimate x64 on a new MacBook Pro with LION and not having any luck!

Last year, I installed MSWindows 7 Ulitmate on my MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard and had not issues at all and I did not need to burn a CD last year either, it all just worked, Boot Camp drivers were downloaded from Apple after the first Windows 7 boot.

BUT on this version, it's not easy at all, actually, it looks like it's pretty much impossible?

I tried installing Ultimate x64 and x86 and now I'm trying the Home Edition? Maybe LION doesn't like Ultimate?

I was able to burn a CD with the BOOT CAMP Drivers on it, but Windows 7 never boots from the MacBook Pro do install those drivers!

The MacBook Pro does boot up from the installer disc and it does rund the Windows INstaller and re-boots from the installer disc, but never boots from the MacBook Pro!?

LION is such a mess.... Snow Leopard is soo much better.

Hello, I've done the exact same thing with my MacMini, installed Windows 7 and got the drivers to the USB device, but unfortunately device manager won't recognise my Flash drive, so no Ethernet, USB or anything that could be useful to get everything started, I really don't know what to do. I've heard and seen there's an option when installing windows called Load Drivers, but couldn't get it to work. Hope anyone can help, thanks.

Hi,

I have been trying to get Windows 7 on my laptop and mac mini with bootcamp. I have manged to it on the macbook and there are no issues so far. I have gone through the same steps on the Mac Mini, however, after installation Windows doesn't recognize the keyboard or mouse so i can't type username and complete the installation. I tried with wireless and wired keyboard/mouse.

I used the same USB disk for the Macbook as i did for the Mac Mini - does this make a difference?

Any ideas on how to fix this?

The only option i seem to have is to power the mac mini off and on , at the start up screen (DOS) I can choose safe mode or normal (the mouse and keyboard seem to work fine here) but as soon as the Windows installation pick back up - they no longer work.

Thanks.

Thanks this solved my problem yesterday (23 Nov 2014). Once Windows was installed none of the drivers were installed with it. I went to the USB drive with all the files in it and had a folder called "Boot Camp" and one called "Boot". I used the first one and had a "setup" name, I selected it and run it and Walla! it installed Wifi, Display, etc. By the way I have a MacBook Pro running Windows 7, if this helps anyone else.
