I have an iPod classic and I cannot download any songs on it. It is constantly freezing my iPod when it is connected to my computer and it is constantly freezing my iTunes. I have reset my iPod and tried to restart my iTunes but nothing is working. I even followed the instructions on this site and I cannot even get 2 songs to show up on my iPod. What do I do now?

The min is a bit odd yes... What temperature should the drive not be exceeding as a maximum? I think I'll try a new drive for now and see anyway.

I have the latest iTunes update for windows (12.2.1.16) and I don't use any of Norton products.
What should I do on the DFU Mode ?
Try the DFU restore or reformat methods. If you can clear all of the pending sectors into reallocs you may get more use out of it.

tried it.....nothing. just keeps putting me back in a restore loop.
Will it go into disk mode? If so you could try formatting it then restoring.

What anti-virus package do you have, if any? Norton in particular of late has been causing issues for some people. Temporarily disabling AV may help.

The stats would appear to show the hard drive is OK. Perhaps the fast forward switch got stuck on somehow, either physically or as a software glitch.
