Here is an issue we have at work. All employees getting iDevices(iPads/iPhones) created an iTunes account using their corporate email addresses. Originally employees were told that they could download free apps on the iDevice using their corporate email iTunes ID. A policy will soon be passed stating that all apps, even free apps need to be purchased/downloaded from a 'personal iTunes ID'.
Here is the rub. We don't know how to transfer the 'corporate' iTunes ID apps to the personal iTunes ID for those users that downloaded non-work-related apps on to the iDevice(s). The goal is this. If you log on to an employee’s iDevice with their corporate iTunes ID, ONLY the apps approved by and purchased by the company should be listed. NOT any other app.
Some employees have purchased gift cards and redeemed them under the corporate iTunes ID. These need to be transferred as well.
Yes, all of this should have been thought out before implementing iDevices, but companies don't always consult the proper personnel first. With FOIA, this is becoming a big issue.
