Movies in Cloud
Why aren't all of my movies (purchased through iTunes) available in the Cloud?

You may not be in the correct country (but I think you are if you're in Oregon).
I'm not in the UK.
If things are no longer available in iTunes they will not be available in the cloud.
If a movie is in itunes store but has changed commercially in some imperceptible way to youo or me you won't see it.
It's all in a state of flux and may improve.
It's all a little of each of the above - honest.

I noticed the same thing too. Most of the digital downloads (that came in a blu ray combo pack) are in the cloud, some are not. Some of the actual downloads from iTunes are there, some are not. In total I am missing 13 movies. Is it a work in progress? I certainly hope so. Is it the unlucky number 13? I hope not.
Yea, on the iTunes storefront, I noticed Apple uses the phrase, 'You can download MOST of your previously purchased movies'...
I did a quick check, for a couple dozen of my movies - The Dark Knight - for example...and they are still available in iTunes, but don't show up in Cloud...
I'm assuming there's still some negotiating going on between Apple and MPAA or whomever...
Well, at least were one step closer to having our music and video where we want...shoot, it's only taken a couple of decades... :-)
Guess I'll keep using Home Sharing for now...
Thanks for the reply!
The content providers are completely backward - users know what they want to do, are prepared to pay for it and they (the providers) drag their heels - result, people illegally download to achieve what they need.

Thats strange my dark knight shows up in my icloud. I have 36 movies out of 89 showing up in icloud.
Crap, I didn't need to hear that! LOL...well, that puts a wrinkle in my theory...it's not HD vs SD, I have both...it's not a percentage of movies owned, becasue Voyger728 has about 40%, whereas I have less than 20%, 63 of 390...hmmm...anyone else? It's not old vs new...Money Ball shows up...but Star Trek doesn't...can't be date purchased because I just purchased The King's Speech, and it's not in there...oh well...
It's not studio because I have Green Lantern but not Dark Knight (both Warner Brothers)
This is frustrating not having all of our movies available in the iCloud.
it is for only for fox and universal. Some of my digital copies were not showing up until i put the disc in again and enter the code again to re-register it did they finally show up. worked for most of mine only a couple where the code didnt work. I now have 44 out of 90 showing up and thats counting all the fox and universal ones. Don't know about the movies that were purchased from itunes.
Fox / Universal / HBO,
Today I started re purchasing digital copies of movies I already own so they will be available on the cloud.
I will only be purchasing copies of movies available on the cloud. In most cases this is the 3rd time I have purchased a copy of certain films having already purchased on vhs then dvd.
Starting today I will no longer be purchasing DVD's. I personally think disc's days are numbered.
Work out a deal with Apple and make your movies available on the cloud. As or today, I am no longer an HBO subscriber. You can make my money via Apple or not at all.
How many of your customers are willing to wait to purchase something until they have full access to it?
Can't imagine I'm the only one.
That's weird, because I have The Dark Knight but no Green Lantern. I am missing some from Marvel Studios as well as some Dreamwork's movies.
Thanks for the tip. I started re-entering all of the download codes and they are appearing in the iCloud now.
As i am in the UK does this mean my movies are not stored in the cloud? So movies i buy on itunes i cannot watch on Apple TV?
I am also confused, and could do with some clarification. Are movies in the icloud only available in the US at present? As i have checked under 'purchased' in itunes and there is no 'movies' section, just music, tv shows etc.
I also have an Apple TV and have downloaded the latest update. Still there is no 'purchased' option available for movies to access purcased items from the cloud.
It is available in the new US updates. On the iPad, it's in iTunes\Purchased and use the View option in the top left-hand corner of the screen. On the iPhone, it's in iTunes\Purchased. On Apple TV, Purchased should be the first Movies option.
Sorry i should have stated I am from the UK and have not been able to access movies in the icloud. Is there likely to be a delay in these services being available in the UK? There is very little about these new features in the UK at present..
