Do iPad 2 cases fit the " new " iPad?

The answer is NO.... The new iPad requires a new case...I used the iFrogz Summit on my iPad2. iFrogz has come out with the same style "Summit" that is made for the "New" iPad.. Great case by the way...

I got my X-doria ipad 3 case and it fits my new ipad very nicely. I was worried for a while as a lot of people seemed to have the same problem - that it fits perfectly but the auto on/off does not work.

I checked my new case with the ipad 3 and it fits nice, and the auto sleep and wake up feature works so i am extremely happy.

I own both the iPad 2 and new iPad.

My Speck hard shell candy space for iPad2 ALMOST fits on the new iPad, but not quite: I can snap three of the four corners, but not the last one.

That extra .6mm is almost too subtle to be felt when I lay the two iPads on the table, but it does mean a shell case isn't going to be upward-compatible.

Put some vaseline on it and push...

This thing turns the iPad into a laptop. If I wanted to take a laptop, I'd take my MacBook Air.

Im sporting the incase book jacket Select for iPad 2 on my iPad 3 and it fits like a glove

You've made this comment before (and by the way, it's nice to see you again), but for some of us (myself included) that's exactly what we want. And it's why keyboard cases are available, and people, like me, buy them.

But again, please define. What is yor price range. Best to buy straight from Apple: the Smart Cover. Only $39.00 for polyurethane or $69.00 for leather.
