Cannot upgrade to OS 5.1

When I try to check for upgrade on my iPhone 4 while connected to my WIFI, all I get is a message that says "Unable to check for upgrade. When I try connecting to iTunes for the upgrade, it just sits there waiting for the upgrade software server. Anyone else having this from? Also my iPad2 says that 5.1 is available and when I click on download and install, I get a retry later message after a couple of minutes.

I agree with at least describe why you think its unstable. The day 5.1 was released I updated all my devices, no issues whatsoever, all over the air updates. I have noticed battery usage improvements, along with imessage seems to be more fluid and smooth. I had a weird issue where if I was typing and imessage and multiple imessages came in at the same time the iphone 4 would reboot. Hasnt happened since.

That's cool, I like AT&T to be honest, and I even apologized to someone over the unstable wording, I can imagine the servers needed! Yeah, i posted back or replied back that either a sticky thread or a quick link could be posted by the forum topic directing clients towards a "DNS for beginners" so to stay. It would also be cool if clients could bring their smart phones to at least the official AT&T stores when something like the voice control posts come out, they have a small service cost should they want the option to have it disabled. Anyway cool, I'm not trying to cause drama, but the update to 5.1 is valid, I can just imagine the traffic, but like it doesn't sit right with me on saying there is no disable for voice control, however correct, it is unavailable to the public in a practical sense. Not sure who JBROWN3 is, but I tried apologizing to him as well, I just noticed my email didn't go through, but I tried telling him I wanted to word myself different, kind of how I am posting to you now. Anyway, I have 4 IPhone's, I love them, I know you guys work hard and sometimes the message/my wording comes out of context, but only by mistake, thanks

If you have an issue it helps when you spell it out as clearly as possible. Going off about what you feel is not what these forums are here for. Venting is is not allowed under terms of use. Don't use inflamitory statements, it won't win you any friends, and try to keep on topic as the quicker we address a problem, the better it is for all users here.
