Does anyone know if it's possible to stop attachments from previewing in Mail when you compose a message?
I hate how JPEGs & PDFs appear so huge in the compose field as you're trying to type an email.

Hello Anna,
When you compose a message in Mail, you can make the pictures/PDFs look like just an icon.
To do so just right click on the file and choose : View as Icon
Like on the screenshots I provided :
And then you should see just an icon :

- It is not possible to it permanently in Mail but after a quick search I found this shareware :

- You can also use the Terminal (in your Applications folder > Utilities) quit Mail, and type in the Terminal :
defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing -boolean yes
- To restore the original settings type :
defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing -boolean no
I didn't try both but it should work.
