Photostream incomplete in appleTV

I installed the latest update for appleTV. I also installe IOS 5.1 on my iPhone. This version of iOS allows me to delete photos from my photostream. So I deleted a few photos that I didn't want in the photostream. After deleting a few photos, I turned on the appleTV and looked at my photostream, All the photos are still there. So I logged out of the appleTV photostream and logged back in. It showed my photostream empty and started downloading the images. However it only downloaded 7 images. I have over 200 images in the Photostream according to my iPhone.

So two bugs observed:

1) Deleting photos from the iPhone Photostream does not delete it from all other devices.

2) Logging out of Photostream from appleTV and logging back in will only download a few images from the photostream. Not all images show up.

Anyone else observe this? And figure out how to get all the photos from photostream to show up on the appleTV?

Same problem here. Only 11 pictures in Photosteam on my Apple TV while I have over 396 on my iPhone.

I submitted a bug report through apple's feedback page. Could you do the same? Maybe if we get enough people to submit the same bug, they will investigate and resolve the issue.

At this point, Photostream is useless for me. I wanted the feature so I can instantly show my images on the living room TV.

But then, my apple TV just died today 😟 I think the upgrade two days ago bricked it. I unplugged it today and when I plugged it back in, wouldn't come up.

Just logged this bug on the feedback page myself. Checked my Apple TV and it is still functional so the bug has not completely hosed it.

I think I found a bit of a workaround for this. I reset my photostream in iCloud 😠, signed out of my photostream on AppleTV, and signed back in on AppleTV. Then when I added and deleted photos from Photostream on my iOS devices the photos would appear and disappear from the AppleTV Photostream 🙂.

Is there a way to re-add the 700+ photos from my camera roll back to photo stream?

I don't have iCloud on my Mac (snow leopard) so this has to be done via the iPhone.

Slightly off topic but how in the world do you sign out of photostream on the appletv. I've gone through all of the menus about 10 times now!

that's exactly the same problem I have in my AppleTV. After upgraded IOS, I cannot find any photo in photostream at beginning, I tried several times, but no photo shows up. Yesteaday, it started the download, but only few photos that taken on the same day with my iPhone 4.

Here's what I discovered after I experienced the same problem, i.e., could only see a limited number of photos in my photostream on my AppleTV. You need to go to your computer and open iPhoto. You will notice that your most recent photostream photos are the only ones included under the Photo Stream button. If you want to see more of your photos on AppleTV you need to move them from wherever they are located (for example, Last 12 Months) to Photo Stream. You cannot do this from your iPhone; you must enter iPhoto on your computer. I don't think you can fix this if you don't have Lion on your computer, but I could be wrong.

As for signing out of Photo Stream on Apple TV, you can do this on the Photo Stream page. The sign out is written in very small letters right above your photos.

As far as the original problem in this thread is concerned, what "fixed" it for me was to plug the Apple TV into my computer and restore the device to factory settings via iTunes, and updating to the latest software version, if there are any updates.

I still don't see all of the 1000 pictures in my photostream, but it may just be taking its time, or maybe it doesn't fit in the apple TV buffer. But there are several hundred there now.

I am seeing this problem as originally reported back last March on a brand new AppleTV with the lastest firmware update. I have a large photostream, which shows up on all other Apple devices but the AppleTV only shows the most recent handful of photos. Basically, this month only I think.

There were some work arounds posted here, but I was wondering if there was an official response to this bug.

Photostream is useless for me on my AppleTV. Very flakey. Does not display all photos and therefore will not run a slideshow.

Same here. Brand new Apple TV, only shows the last 7 photos in My Photo Stream (there are 254 in the stream.) It's broken which makes it useless.
