"Forget this network" option is missing since upgrade to 5.1

And earlier this evening I was constantly having to re-enter my password for my wifi network as the connection kept dropping. I don't know why it wasn't saving the password.

But I noticed that the "forget this network" red option bar is missing.

Any ideas?

Not missing when I view my wi-fi network settings, which is located at the top and is not red.

You can also go to Settings > General > Reset and select Reset Network Settings which will erase all saved wi-fi networks and settings from your iPhone.

I started having this same problem yesterday with a network my iPad had previously automatically connected to with no trouble. Lost the forget this network option and refused to connect whenever I tried to add another network. I found this URL http://gizmodo.com/5944761/does-ios-6-have-a-wi+fi-bug which has the simplest fix of all i.e. 1. Settings>Wi-Fi>("Your Network")> [the blue circle arrow icon] and 2. Scroll to bottom of screen and set HTTP Proxy to Auto. Then when I tapped the network name to connect to it, it connected immediately and the forget this network option has magically returned.
