so, now all youtube videos never start. Anyone else seeing this, or know of a fix?
For now, I have to use firefox. That works fine.

removing the download manager did not fix it, and I use that weekly... never been a problem before the safari upgrade.
Log out and perform a safe login, as follows: Enter your credentials at the login screen, then hold down the shift key and click the “Log in” button. Keep holding the key until the menu bar appears. In this mode, your login items, among other things, won’t load.
In this mode, test again. Same problem(s) now?
After testing, log out/log in as usual and post the results of your test.
well, we already know that I can log in as a different user and it works. Will this tell you something different than that? I ask because last time I tried to log in using Safe Mode it didn't work.

I'm having the same issue, but it's not just for YouTube. It seems all of the Google services are having issues with this new version of Safari. At least in my case they are. Reader won't load at all. Google+ loads, but behaves weird. Some links work and some don't. I submitted some feedback to Google regarding the G+ issue.
Today I have the same problem with safari 5.1.4 and flash player 11.1.102.64 , the video start and after 5 seconds returns to 0.
Others browsers work flawless.

Mine is doing the run for 8 seconds... This is directly after a update? What the heck? Should be an update right?
Forget what I have writed, mine solution was to RESET safari!

yes... this worked for me.
Oki- in the menu bar, go to Safari/Reset Safari.

I had reset my safari and reinstalled flash and done everything I could think of. Until tonight when I got so jack of You tube running like a dog.
Fixed it imediatelly and Whaola You tube is worth watching again.
