iweb With html5 Pre Built Templates?

Sorry if this is an obvious question, but Googling hasn't helped me.

I found an html5 pre built template I would like to purchase and download. But I am very limited in Dreamweaver knowledge. Can I open and work with this type of template in iWeb?

iWeb can only use templates that are specifically designed for it. It cannot open an external html file.

I would imagine that what you are contemplating buying is an HTML layout with a CSS stylesheet. You would need code entry style software for this but you really don't need DreamWeaver.

I use Rage WebDesign for this. Taco is a really good, cheaper alternative and Fraise is free.

Some iWeb users are moving to Flux 3 since it handles both code entry and drag and drop. This application, to my mind, is over complicated and you would be better to use a WYSIWYG code entry style software if you are starting off with a well designed Stylesheet and HTML template. Its a lot easier in the long run and produces much cleaner code.

You probably were not able to decipher my question as well as Roddy. I noticed in several descriptions of the html5 templates I was considering purchasing, they note a requirement for customizing is using Dreamweaver. So, I mentioned that I know a little about Dreamweaver in advance just as an FYI in case it mattered. Realizing I have limited experience in this arena, Roddy was able to steer me away from Dreamweaver and gave me some excellent alternatives.

And thank you for chiming in as by returning here I realized I clicked the wrong credit for his response. Roddy if you will respond, I'll give you appropriate credit.

For anybody interested in following this route, there are lots of CSS stylesheets available for free online and most of these include HTML templates. Example...

There are at least two freeware editors - Fraise and BlueGriffon - and you can even find free hosting ...

Too bad you didn't understand it. Quite revealing.

You should focus your time on helping people rather than jacking up your own little man complex. If you don't understand a question, or it is not written to your liking, ignore it and move on. You are only displaying your ignorance when you stop to take the time to belittle someone who is reaching out for support.

Responding again will certainly validate that your need to demonstrate your intellect and superiority over others is sadly only your blind idiocy and insecurity.

That should be formatted and clear enough for you to understand. Move on little man.
