Hi Guys,
Be gentle and descriptive im new to MACs and OS X.
Just bought a MAC second hand and re-installed the operating system with the discs that came with the MAC originally. The re-install went well. I want to install Mozilla Firefox. I download the file and it fails to mount. This is fresh install.
Also using Safari I use Google to search and it crashes Safari??
iMac, Mac OS X (10.3.x)
There's probably Panther combo updaters to take you to 10.3.9 but I don't have any links at hand.
Try the FF download again. It may be corrupt.
Not surprising Google crashes Panther vintage Safari. The web dates things faster than anything else dates a computer. Browse the Panther forum for suggestions for best browsers to use with 10.3. Maybe if I have time later I can hunt some links.

You may have downloaded the wrong version of FF for OS 10.3.

Good tip but I download wrong versions a lot to check out information on newer application my computer won't run and I can at least mount the .dmg It's when you try to install that it refuses.
