Why is all my apps in "waiting" mode
Why does all my apps say waiting?

Why does all my apps say waiting?
iPad
I started having this problem last evening with downloading 3 apps, all were WAITING.
I did a sync and deleted the apps and then reloaded them and they reloaded okay. Shortly after that I had one update and when I tried to update the app, it stuck on WAITING again.
I did a restore and tried downloading a new app and it did not load- WAITING.
I have no music on this iPad2, no Podcasts, no movies, so something is making my apps "hang" in WAITING mode. I did not have this problem prior to the new OS...
Any help would be appreciated.
It was like that for me too. I did everything until I understood nothing else but a complete restore of the device would do it. Now i have restored everything and it is now working just fine.
Tried all of your suggestions except the total wipe...it's been 3 days of waiting and I can't use any of the "waiting" apps.....grrrrrr! Come on Apple!!!!
I've had the same problem upgrading from 4s->5. The reset and restore from iCloud is what worked for me except the key was to NOT PLUG THE PHONE INTO MY COMPUTER.
If I had the phone plugged into the computer anytime during the restore and before all the apps were downloaded it would automatically start syncing the phone and trying to install apps from the computer backup and get hung up at the end of the sync. After this none of the apps would download and would show the "waitin..." I'm guessing this is because the apps on my computer are out of date or something and don't give the latest version like the restore from iCloud does.
So, try the restore from iCloud and do not plug into your computer until all apps have been downloaded.
Similar problem after replacing a defective iPhone 5. Once restored via iCloud, all apps were in a waiting status. I had to go to the App Store and download the apps again from the cloud. All is well now.
Thank you so much David Ahn, for your super guidance in solving the problem of Apps that were stuck in 'waiting'
I did as you suggested and was delghted with the result. I had about 30+ that were waiting after syncing my iPad Air with the Mac computer and thought I had done something wrong. What a great help! Mo
You don't have to reset anything!!! Just go to the App Store and click update on the apps that say waiting, the waiting sign will go away as soon as you click on update!
SOLUTION: Go to Itunes (Plug in your phone)> Go to Apps (Install a couple old apps) and click Apply. Should reset the board and install and sync your apps. This worked for me, I hope it help someone else!
Just restart your Iphone mate. Same thing happened to me, and I restarted my phone and the minute I unlocked my phone, its starting to download all the apps.
hope this helps
Cheers
Alvin
Solution: Launch App Store - Updates tab, scroll down and re-download all apps from cloud
None of the App Store logoout / reset worked for me
This worked on
iPhone 6 > iPhone 6 S Plus upgrade
So I didn't want to do this whole restore whatever deal
So I decided to go the easiest route for trouble shooting and it worked 🙂
I was doing a restore from ITunes backup on a new Iphone 6s and was getting all my apps WAITING
I decided to go to app world and do updates on the apps they suggested needed it
First it was 6 apps
Went through those
and then got 3 more then 2 etc
After it updated all of them that needed updating
The rest did quickly 🙂
It took a few hours but was so much easier then all the restore, wipe, back up crap
Just took patience but was very easy to see progress thru app world as it updated everything
A few I had to update more than once
Hope this helps 🙂

PS The whole restart phone thing I tried but didn't work I had to update all apps
Thank you for the simple suggestion that fixed my problem 🙂
Finally I found it, I was facing the worst case of App stucking in waiting mode and I try many ways to solve this (deleting, deleting from iTunes, restarting , DFU mode) and nothing work.
One day, yes one day I decided to macke a backup for my iPhone and I start normally with (Transfer Purchases App from "iPhone") then i found the iTunes start only with the stucked apps, one by one download and delete.
Finally now I have an working, opening, normal Youtube App.
This did not work for me!!! Hours of restore and back up later and still the problem persists!!! Grrr
Did you ever figure it out? Same problem here
