I got an ipad 2 in jan i know ipad3 was rite around the corner but had a feeling this would happen dident feel like being a bata tester lol not for 600 bucks

What brightness level did you use while have the game run for an hour?

Why not replace it and see instead of returning?

I am glad there is no Cerrolow component in it, would have got messy.

If you put the new ipad in a leather all around folio type case, could you hurt it with heat build up. At least you would be directly holding it. I am sure it has overheat shut down built in?

I wonder how long theses bords will last with this coind of heat if it gets that worm on the outside that chip must be relly cooking in there

Wouldn't it be better to see the new iPad work at 100% performance, and not at a 3rd? That doesn't make much sense to me...

On Apple's website they recommend recycling Li-ion batteries once a month?

At 80% bright:

~93 F Without smart cover. ~89 F With (same reading, but if feels slightly cooler, so I'll chalk it up to my less-than-ideal testing equipment).
