Since updating to iTunes 10.6, clicking in any iTunes scrollbar no longer scrolls a list to the clicked location. Very irritating when working with lists containing 100's of items. Only workaround appears to be dragging the gray scroll position indicator.

Yes, this works. This problem is not iTunes specific, FYI. I have noticed the same problem with jumping in MS Word 08--and this same fix applies.
Perhaps they share some library of code? It seems odd, but maybe certain word functions use the same library as certain itunes functions... Either way, I hope they fix it. Perhaps mountain lion will work, although they should fix it for everyone...
With the iTunes10.6.3 update, scrolling to the clicked position in a scrollbar now appears to work properly.
This is more the functionality not working as we expect, rather than not working.
It is as if the click point does not register.
*But* if you click and keep the left button down, just move your mouse/finger a little and the scroll bar will jump to your position.
Wierd, but at least it can be made to work.
They fixed the problem! Just update to 10.6.3 (25)
