FCPX Rotating Logo

I am fairly new to FCPX (couple of months) and graduated from iMovie so I would like some help with this. I am adding a logo to a video and I would like the logo to sway from L to R and then from L to R again and so on continuously, quite slowly. I saw this in the movies someone else did and it looked terrific. I know how to rotate something once but I don't know how to get it to continuously rotate from the beginning to the end of the movie.

I'm not sure I understand your comment about blading the watermark image. I know how to blade, though. I have done that to trim clips.

Assumiing your watermark is one long clip and you want to rotate the logo (or watermark).

You said in your first post that you know how to do the animation ("I know how to rotate something once"). Well, assuming that rotation takes five seconds to complete (finishing up in the same position it started) then all you need to do is replicate that rotation throughout the timeline, to get your repeats.

You can make the logo clip the same length as the rotation, copy the clip and then keep applying it to the timeline - or you could cut the (full length) clip with the blade, every five seconds, copy the first clip (the one with the rotation on it) and then select all the other logo clips and press Option+Cmd+V to paste the effects - so that all the clips will have exactly the same attributes as the original clip (includes all other settings too).

So far, I have dragged the logo image right across the entire video. I was wondering how to do this rotation repetition. I will see how long the single repition took - I hope I can gauge it accurately because i am not too good with that bar that has the seconds/time on it. I know how to cut a clip using the blade so that is no problem. I just hope I get the timing correct, although it probably wouldnt matter too much because each clip would be identical.

Thank you so much for your help. I may have more questions when I try this 🙂

Continuation of my question above but this time with a logo that is text. (I have it down pat with a symbol logo). The text logo starts out its correct size, then gets a little bigger, and then back to its original size. Is there some sort of ruler in FCPX so I can make sure that the beginning and end sizes are identical? When I try to eyeball it, they are different.
