Does Applecare cover accidents?

AppleCare + on the new iPad does cover 2 incidents with a deductible payment. Plain AppleCare is an extended warranty and does not.

AppleCare+ can now be purchased for iPad, and does cover accidental damage (you pay a "deductible" for an incident), but *must* be purchased within 30 days of buying the iPad.

Actually, I was surprised to learn Apple has a new option called AppleCare +. For the first time with AppleCare + you not only get a two year supported warranty, but you can get a replacement, even for accidental damage for a low deductable (I believe it's $49 per incident and only twice during the two years).
