Every time I import pictures to iPhoto, my vertical pictures are black. Is there something I can do to remedy this, or is Apple working on fixing it?

Has this problem been submitted to Apple? Should I report the bug myself. The solution of rotating the pictures and then reverting to originals restored all of my pictures successfully. I don't want to have to do it manually after every import of photos though. Thanks for helping me find a workaround in the interim!

Report every problem - the more reports the more likely a resolution - iPhoto menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback

The only thing I found was that this issue doesn't exist in every iPhoto update prior to 9.2.1

So if you remove and reinstall iPhoto (from the iLife DVD) and than manualy update to 9.1.3 you won't have this issue.

So this means that iPhoto is the culprit itself.

The bad thing about this is that you will have to create a new library and import all you pictures from the original library. 😟
