Can I transfer windows 7 from Parallels to Boot Camp?

I have parallels installed with windows 7, but would rather run it in boot camp. Is it possible for me to transfer the OS to the boot camp partition from where it is on parallels?

No. You must create a Boot Camp partition using Boot Camp Assistant then install Windows on the Boot Camp partition. You can copy your data from your parallels installation to your Boot Camp partition. Then uninstall and remove the Parallels installation of Windows.

I'd the same issue and (believe if you want!) I've used Norton Ghost ! That's true ! Boot from Norton Ghost recovery DVD in Parallels and create a ghost image of your Win 7 disk (you must add a second disk to your VM to place that image). After that, you can copy your ghost image to an external disk.

After, you use Boot Camp to prepare the partition in your mac and while booting, you put the Norton Ghost DVD instead of a Windows DVD. That's it. It will boot up Norton Ghost and you can restore your image to your boot camp partition !
