Not Picking Up Verizon 4G in NYC

I have not yet subscribed to a month-to-month plan but when not on WiFI in NYC, the New iPad only shows a Verizon 3G signal. I know that Verizon has 4G in NYC. I have tried turning cellular data on and off but same issue. And this was at 3 different locations in NYC so it probably wasn't a tower issue.

Anyone else having issues with Verizon 4G

4G has spotty coverage and your iPad will use the strongest signal which may be 3G. You will need to try a number of different areas until you get a good 4G signal. I have experienced losing 4G by going from my family room to my kitchen.
