Hi Mina
When did you call apple? If this was within the last 2 days I would say that the guy you talked to either was
completely ignorant or upright lying to you, which would be totally unacceptable.
This is not a problem that only a few have reported this is a huge worldwide problem, and by now it is all over the media and I would not accept any customer service telling me that they have never heard about it before. It goes without saying that Apple has passed on instructions to customer service all over the world telling them to underexaggare and to calm the problem down to a smaller scale than it is. This is probably a strategy to try and save face and at the same time buy time.
The first time i talked to the customer service (Friday 30th of March) they said they had never heard of the issue before. I explained that I thought that was pretty weird since there were several hundred incidents all over the world reporting it on the apple community.
The second time i called a few days later they admitted to have heard a small amount of customers report about this issue, and that if I had tried " resetting network settings" or doing a full restore with the problem still persisting, I should go back where I purchased it and get a replacement.
Since reading this forum I see a lot of other people also getting a replacement but most of them get the same issues again. Therefore I see little point in getting a replacement unless someone can actually
thruthfully say that they have gotten a replacement where this problem is non existent.
Either Apple tell me that this is a software error that can be fixed with an update or I am getting a refund. It`s as easy as that.
