iPad App Store Links Not Working, iPad App Store Links Not Working

Is anyone else having a problem where links to an app in the App Store from Safari (or any other app) don't open the page for that app? This is on a new iPad (iPad 3). It only seems to happen when the App Store is already opened. If I force quit the App Store, the first link I test will open correctly but after that it won't open any more links (although it will switch to the App Store, just doesn't open the right page). It just stays on the last app viewed. Doesn't seem to be a problem on my iPhone 4. Weird.

If you slightly modify the links provided by apple it will open on any device like a treat after the normal link e.g. https://itunes.apple.com/gb/artist/ARTIST NAME/YOUR ID?mt=8&uo=4 it's what I use for all my apps.

YES, resetting the Networks Settings solved this problem on iPad 2

If it does NOT work, reset ALL settings.

Settings > General > Reset
