I have a G5 running OS 10.4 with a DSL router which is working fine. I also have an iBook running OS 10.4 with an Airport Extreme card installed. I would like to provide Internet access to this laptop, so I connected a Wireless/Wired Router. Now I have no Internet access at all, even with the wired G5. I need to know what my settings need to be to have both machines working.
When I remove the Wireless/Wired Router, the G5 works fine. Please help. Thanks!

You problem appears that you are tring to use 2 Rotuers.
You should be able to just the one you are calling a wired wireless Router for both. In otherwords take one Router clear out of the equation, and use just one,it should work then for both.
Cheers Don
I am sorry, but I don't think I was clear in my initial question.
The DSL router is where the DSL line comes in from the outside. There is only one output port on the DSL router (maybe this isn't really a router?) which is the Ethernet port. I have an Ethernet cord going from the DSL router to my wireless/wired router so I can have more than one machine accessing the Internet. The wireless/wired router has four ports for Ethernet connections and antennae for wireless. The goal is to have my iBook with Airport card access the Internet as my G5 does.
Hi, I am not a computer expert but I wanted to do the same, except I have an Imac and a HP laptop. I have my DSL service through Alltel. I was given a used Linksys BEFW11S4 wirelless router by a friend of mine. Here is what I did. I first reset the router by pluging it up and hitting the reset button. I have no idea if this did anything but what the heck. I unpluged it from the power and connected the DLS modem to the router by the Ethernet port on the DLS modem to the WAN port on the router then connected my Mac to the first port next to the WAN port. Then I pluged in the power, gave it a bit then tried it. I did not set up the PPPoe account like it stated on the Alltel DSL help page. It works. I didn't change any settings. Good luck.
The first box you're describing is a DSL modem. It's just a box with the phone line in and an ethernet out, right?
You haven't told us what brand and model of wireless router you have, so we can't help with the setup. The first thing you should do in any event is read the manual. You need to set up the router to connect to your ISP correctly before you have have it route internet traffic to both your G5 and your iBook.
