go to setting>messages>click send & receive>click your appleid>the click sign out thats it

Settings > Messages > iMessage OFF.
You don't log in or out.
You can turn it off as pointed out above.
It's kinda like your cell phone. You don't log in or out. You use it or not and turn it on/off.
When I turn on the iMessage again (iPhone 4S) is it chargeable? Because there is a pop-up message saying that carrier may charge an activation fee"

What if you do not have an AppleID in Received at?
You have to log into your current iMessage account, then click on the apple ID and press sign out.
Anyone know of a way to do this remotely, e.g. when you are not in front of your iPad?
