iMessage and FaceTime not working

My imsg and facetime used to work before but since i upgraded my IOS to 5.1.1 it just stoped and started giving me a message that " its not activated " even if iam logged in with my Apple ID. Then it says it will send an activate message or somehting but never recieve anything......

I am using Iphone 4 and my carrier is T-mobile..... is it possible that T-mobile is not compatible with imsg & FT ??

but it used to work before..... anyway can anyone help ???

change the dns number as i said above. try that and see

Its not working for me... It seems its trying to send a txt message to my old number ( other country number) not with my current t-mobile number :(.... And i dont know how to change it to my current number. Any suggestions??

Anyone having this problem, the first thing you should do is try to change your DNS to 8.8.4.4 or 8.8.8.8

That should fix it, it did the trick for my on my new iPad and iMac.

none of this is working for me i bought 2 new ipad2 updated to 5.1.1 this morning and when i try to connect to facetime it just says (an error occured during activation try again) but when i try again the same message appears?

help please i really need facetime as i am going to work away and i need to be able to see my wife and baby

i have an iphone 4 updated when 5.5.1 came out and im with T-Mobile uk.

it happened this morning,

imessage says "an error occured during activation try again" and face book "waiting activation".

ive restored my ipone and also ive tried the time thing and changing the dns to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

interestingly my ipad 2 (wifi only) is working fine.......

Full restore to factory settings then restored it with the lastest back-up.

Ive just tried to ring apple uk support.

i got the case number and rang. while giving my details, the automated voice asked me if i had a "support plan" or something, if not it would cost me £25!
