iMessage and FaceTime not working

Hi,

I updated my IOS to 5.1 the other day, and since then neither iMessage nor FaceTime has been working correctly. I'm currently studying abroad in Spain, so my phone number is deactivated. I still have my apple ID on my phone however, which should be enough to use iMessage and FaceTime. When I go into settings, it says iMessage is "waiting for activation". I obviously can't call customer support either, as my phone is deactivated. Apple is really making me angry now. Updating the phone took away my iMessage and FaceTime abilities, and now I can't even contact them because they don't believe in email support. Can anyone propose a solution to my problem? It would be much appreciated!

Been roaming forums and tech sites for about a month now. Still no working solution for me. AT&T GoPhone is my carrier, and my Facetime and iMessage both just stopped working for me some random day. Didn't update or make any changes of any type, but they both just stopped working. Also, when I sign out and back in, both activate without any errors or anything, but still won't work. Super annoying.

For me I find solution, it was saddently easy. I just noticed that my carrier plan was used, and I got no Internet access via 3G or edge. I just turn off mobile Internet and set up my home wi-fi, after all i got my at ones. And if you have problems with imassege and you have iPhone or iPad with 3G try to turn off mobile Internet and connect to wi-fi.
