iPod stuck in Disk Mode(Restart won't work)
My iPod is stuck in disk mode, and no matter how many times I restart it, it stays in this. I've tried the 5R's and I've tried restarting it. Is there any other fixes?

I know, you have tried a Restart and the 5Rs, but can you try the Hard Reset, as below disconnected from the PC.
Here is the Apple support Article on the 5Rs

Good Luck!

I've tried a hard restart and it does not work.
Did you see the Apple Logo, when you do the Hard Reset?
I did see the apple logo, and released the buttons after it came up and it still went into disk mode
Can you connect to iTunes and Restore the iPod, (this will erase all the music, data) so back up you important files, to the PC.
The Restore will update your iPod firmware, which I believe is somehow corrupted as it cannot finish the Reset sequence.
Good Luck!
Everytime I try to restore it, it says that it is busy and does not work. I have the latest iTunes also
Sorry, but is the last image you see on your iPod (the tick sign),
the above sequence is for DiskMode. for Reset you dont shift you finger to the pause button.
If it is busy, you may have to exit iTunes and delete this file, in the iTunes media folder, (Are you using Windows or Mac?)
iPod.plist
Or find some file that have an extension .plist in the iTunes media folder.
After deleting tghe file iTunes will recreate it, so that it is a fresh iTunes session.
I do not see the image with the tick, I see a flashing circle with a line through it (not sure the technical term) that says "do not disconnect". And I'm on a mac and I'm not sure where to find that file
If you mean this sign
It is not Disk Mode, it just tell you not to disconnect the iPod, before you eject from iTunes.
So to confirm, please eject the iPod from iTunes, wait for a minute, till this sign disappear and the OK to disconnect sign comes ON.
Then unplug the iPod from the PC, and you should get the music menu on the iPod screen.
Forget about the plist. for the moment
Yep, it was that sign. Tried that fix and it did not work, when I unplugged it, it continued to stay on the OK to disconnect screen
Ok now that it is disconnected, try the Hard Reset above. Hopefully you have charged it for at least 2 hours.
If you cant get the music menu after the Reset bring it in to the Apple store, they will understand your problem better.
Does the iPod has any screeching or scratching noise, when the OK sign comes ON?
Have a nice day!
Tried the Hard Reset again. This time it started to work and told me that I needed to plug it in to restore it, and when I plug it in, it goes back to the "do not disconnect" screen, says it is busy when I try to restore it so we've pretty much gone in a circle. I will try bringing it to the apple store though, hopefully they have some sort of fix. Thank you though!
No, we have not gone in a circle, we have gone from Disk Mode to Restoring the iPod.
But the Genius at Apple Store will be able to communicate with you better.
Good Luck!
thanks it works well
