iPod stuck in Disk Mode(Restart won't work)

My iPod is stuck in disk mode, and no matter how many times I restart it, it stays in this. I've tried the 5R's and I've tried restarting it. Is there any other fixes?

I know, you have tried a Restart and the 5Rs, but can you try the Hard Reset, as below disconnected from the PC.

  1. After charging till full charge, at least 2 hours (preferably 4 hours)
  2. Toggle the Hold switch, make sure you dont see the red mark when you do the next step
  3. Reset the iPod -> Press Menu and Center button simultaneously for about 10 secs till the Apple Logo comes ON
  4. Then release the buttons
  5. Select your preferred language.

Sorry, but is the last image you see on your iPod (the tick sign),

User uploaded file

the above sequence is for DiskMode. for Reset you dont shift you finger to the pause button.

If it is busy, you may have to exit iTunes and delete this file, in the iTunes media folder, (Are you using Windows or Mac?)

iPod.plist

Or find some file that have an extension .plist in the iTunes media folder.

After deleting tghe file iTunes will recreate it, so that it is a fresh iTunes session.

If you mean this sign

User uploaded file

It is not Disk Mode, it just tell you not to disconnect the iPod, before you eject from iTunes.

So to confirm, please eject the iPod from iTunes, wait for a minute, till this sign disappear and the OK to disconnect sign comes ON.

Then unplug the iPod from the PC, and you should get the music menu on the iPod screen.

Forget about the plist. for the moment

Tried the Hard Reset again. This time it started to work and told me that I needed to plug it in to restore it, and when I plug it in, it goes back to the "do not disconnect" screen, says it is busy when I try to restore it so we've pretty much gone in a circle. I will try bringing it to the apple store though, hopefully they have some sort of fix. Thank you though!
