Black screen on ipad 2?

I have a big problem with my Ipad 2, since the last week i can't see anything on my screen? It doesn't fall or anything so I don't know what happen, do you already have this problem? When I press the power buttom or the menu bottom, the only thing I saw it's my screen it's kind of illuminated but it's all black.😕

I tried to restore it with no sucess, when I plugged it on my laptop i can saw that my Ipad respond and i can heard the sound on my ipad when i plugged it to my laptop, I can sync it but I can't see anything on my screen either. If you already got a similar problem, please give me suggestions or anything, I don't know what to do with it anymore 😟 .

Thank you!!!!

Incredible!!

Really thought this was ******** but with 14 pages of people saying it helps I also tried it...

Having a wood floor I laid down a towel and dropped the iPad on the floor a few times, but it didn't helped.

Slapped it on the sofa a few times with no effect.

Frustrated I hit the iPad to the side of the bed and guess what.... IT WORKED!!! :-D

Thanks so much for the help!!

My Mother-in-law and I laughed at the suggestion of dropping it again. Even as we tried it we laughed it off as not gonna work...Until it did work and the screen went completely back to normal. Saved us bunches and lots of time to drop it two feet off the ground on carpet. Thanks for the idea!!! Wish we had read this info before I did a factory reset and lost all her data and pictures tho! Seriously this does work, just don't listen to your common sense. And do at your own risk, cuz there's probably no guarantee that all cases like this will work, just glad it did for us.

Even though you already tried to restore it, try resetting your device by holding down both the home and lock buttons for ~10 seconds or until the device restarts, ignoring the power slider.

You may have to take it into an Apple Retail Store and get them to replace the screen, if you are still under warranty(1 year comes free) for a low price or even free.

I can't see anything, I tried it a lot of times with no sucess, I can't see anything at all. When I pressed the home buttom or the other buttom I can see a little yellow colour coming on the side of my screen. I read about some case like this and they said it was the glue the companie used to put the piece in place that not have time to dry ? It is possible that could be this thing happenned to my ipad ?

Ok, I've had this exact problem a few times now. The problem is you probably dropped it or set it down too hard and something came loose. This may sound crazy, but dropping it again has worked for me on three different occasions. Try to drop it at the original angle it was dropped the first time. Don't do it so hard that it breaks, but just a one or two foot drop on to a carpeted floor. Each time I've gotten the black screen of death has been about 3-4 months apart.

Do this at your own risk.
