Please help me with this, it has been causing me some discomfort. It they sold it to me as a brand new 32 gb WIFI Ipad 3 but it appears on my comp as an Ipad 2. Is this normal? and how do I know the difference between both Ipads? thank you.

The new iPad has dictation available on it : Settings > General > Keyboard > Dictation
Look in settings, about, for your model number.

The numbers seem to vary a bit, possibly by country - my UK 64 gig black wi-fi version is MC707B. Not sure whether other countries also have other model numbers, and whether the first 5 characters/numbers are consistent.
I think the table I put up is us specific... Would be good to have a whole current list around for questions like this.

Now that all this is clear, yes! The screen is wonderful. I use it everyday for class, enterntainment, art and fashion and it is the best investment I have ever made.

I bought an Ipad 3 from the Apple store in Providence, however when it is recognized by my itunes store its says it is an Ipad 2. Is this normal? is this a scam?
