iChat File Transfers fail on 10.7.x Server

I have an OS X Server 10.6 setup with iChat and it works perfectly.

This Mac is connected directly to the WWW, no firewall.

I have an OS X Server 10.7 setup with iChat and it works perfectly EXCEPT for File Transfers

This Mac is connected directly to the WWW, with a Netgear FVS336Gv2.

I have opened all the correct ports for TCP & UDP and mapped them to my OSX Server 10.7 at 192.168.2.100

I am totally stumped now, why should JUST file transfers do not work?

This iChat OSX Server 10.7 is setup for people on the same server, using the same domain.

File Transfer in iChat WORKS on the internal network OK :-)

File Transfer in iChat DOESN'T WORK on external network :-(

Here is a screenshot of my routers portforwarding...

Feel I'm almost there... just missing something.

Hi,

Were you working from this list of ports ?

http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=ServerAdmin/10.6/en/im5945b424.html

Note port 7777 and 1080 that are not listed in the other iChat Client info.

Hi Ralph, seen you in the other similar iChat topics, so glad you've replied :-)

No I was not working from http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=ServerAdmin/10.6/en/im5945b424.html

I did not find that link in my searching. It's a usefull reference, thanks.

If you mean in my screenshot http://www.jrpmedia.co.uk/shared/Remote%20Desktop%20Picture.jpg

I do have Port 7777 open, but it's on TCP does it also need to be UDP?

I don't have Port 1080, I think that needs opeing, should that be TCP, UDP or both?

Thank you,

Hi,

Server stuff is not my forte and there is in fact a separate Forum area. (Category link)

The 7777 port if for this Server to server stuff in Jabber using this Proxy65 module.

As most other thing Jabber are in fact TCP I would think this one is as well

The port 1080 seems to be an Jabber thing as well.

This Cisco Doc for their Jabber server says it is for FTP traffic.

This common Port Doc says it is TCP
