How do i get back my garageband songs that are only on icloud?

Yesterday i enabled icloud in garageband and upliaded a couple of songs. It worked as it should until i opened it today and found that a song has a green arrow pointing down in its top right corner. I tapped on it, but after getting a grey overlay nothing happened. I checked and the is on icloud, but icant get it back. I alo dont have just 2g ipod and a windows 7 pc, so o other apple products.

If anyone has the same problem and found a solution i'd appreciate the help.

Thanks in advance.

I'm having the same issue.

I was working in Garageband when it crashed and now I can't seem to access one of the songs that was synced to iCloud. I checked my iCloud account ("Manage Storage") and the song appears there but I can't download it. I really need this file, anyone have a workaround?

The sequence of events in my case (using iPad GB v1.2):

I worked on a song ("Song A")

Exited Song A and started work immediately on another song ("Song B")

Recorded audio into Song B

GarageBand crashed

Everything recorded to Song B was lost but file could be opened

BUT, after the crash, I was no longer able to access Song A

The green download arrow appears in the upper right hand corner (of "Song A") but when I click on the song, it won't download from iCloud

I can't re-save or export the file, either.

"ICloud SchmiCloud, Apple’s non-syncing sync service" (quote form WIRED Mag.)

Syncing over the local Wi-Fi network to my Mac, like the Multitrack DAW (AppStore) http://www.harmonicdog.com , works perfectly well. But iOS GarageBand is such an amazing app.

We can only hope that some kind minded spirit adopts this orphaned application and maybe be so friendly, make some comment or even give us back our XXXthousand

songs, unless making customers feel frustrated and even sad is just another sales concept

and keeps us all busy doing nothing.

I had the same issue, absolutley most frustrating. However, after a full day of fretting over it, I went back to basics and solved the issue. I simply restarted my device (this case my iphone). When I reopened garageband all my songs were there! Hurray! Seems too easy but it worked for me, hope it works for y'all.

This is a little late in the game, with a whole other iOS to complain about, but I recently moved up to the iPhone 5s, transferred all my stuff in GB over to the new phone, and though I can access said songs that were in the phone's GB, the iTunes, Ringtones, Open in other..., and more icons are greyed out. In addition, the email option, sound cloud, Facebook, etc are still there but provide no export capability either. Lastly, my Macbook can't seem to find any in the file sharing section of the GB app in iTunes. Anybody end up having any sort of luck with their issue, regardless of OS? Thanks.

When I enabled the Cloud drive, all my songs uploaded from my iPad corrupted. They will open in Garageband on my Mac but are corrupted on the Ipad. I thought the cloud drive was to enable uploaded files to be accessed on any Apple device!!! AppleCare have not been able to resolve the issue as yet - it always surprises me that they don't seem to read these forums and are much less 'in the loop' than their 'users'. All I can think to do is to save the files from the Mac to a separate drive and wait for the issue to be resolved. Then, hopefully, the files can be uploaded to the Mac and transferred to an iPad via a fully functioning Cloud Drive!! Why are things never fully tested before being unleashed onto unsuspecting customers???

I thought the cloud drive was to enable uploaded files to be accessed on any Apple device!!!

But it is still only one-way with respect to project compatibility between GarageBand iOS projects and GarageBand Mac project. Any GarageBand iPad project you open in GarageBand 10 on your Mac will be converted to GarageBAnd 10 and can no longer be opened on your iPad.
