Logic and Korg Triton LE

I recently had a client hire me to compose some music and wants me to use his Korg Triton LE in addition to my Logic Pro 7.1 setup. He wants me to program the Triton for the player in his group and then make "play along" mp3s of the piece.

I am having difficulty with the setup. I have been successful at getting Logic to trigger the sounds on the Triton and to access my saved combinations. I have also been successful at configuring the setup to basically use the Triton as a midi controller to enter the notes into the midi regions in Logic.

I can't for the life of me figure out how to record the sounds of the Triton part as part of my mp3 bounce.

How do I configure my setup so that the bounce will include the Triton sounds from the Synth track in my score in addition to all the software synths that I have used for the song?

I'm not following you. I did a realtime bounce and got nothing. The light indicator on my midi patch bay during the real time bounce indicates data is going from the computer to the Triton, but the light that indicates data coming back does nothing. No sound in the bounce at all. I know there has to be some simple setting that I am missing either on the Triton or in Logic.

That input object will only record if I hook something up to the stereo input. It isn't getting any of the Korg sounds via the midi in cable. Are you saying I need to get a cable that will connect from the audio output on the Korg to the audio input on the Mac and then it will bounce what is played to the Korg via the input object that is set to input 1-2 and routed to output 1-2?

bingo....
MIDI does not tranfer audio, it is only a controller language. You're going to have to plug the triton's outs to your computer's (or audio interface's if you have one) inputs, arm a corresponding track in logic, and press record....let the song play through, mute your midi regions, and bam.

You can also track each midi part separately by soloing each midi track, and recording each one separately (in case you want to individually EQ/process your triton sounds in Logic.)

or you can use the input object if you dont wish to track them all, but I recommend doing so, as it will allow you greater flexibility.

Well, I have used dedicated audio interfaces for a long time for input, I can only suggest that you verify your cables, and (in particular) adaptor. Some adaptors don't preserve stereo and if it's just barely the wrong size you won't get both sides. If you need a sanity check there are manufacturers who have products marketed specifically for this connection. Monster, Belkin, Griffin? Sold in Apple departments/Stores. The quality of this connection/conversion and added noise won't sound terribly good. Good Luck
