How successful is your book?

A niche book - but it is fun to see a retro programming book Virtual GS (for Apple IIGS - a 1986 computer!) make it into What's Hot chart in Programming category - together with iOS 5 Application Development books!

How many downloads do you have dayly?

My book is currently being reviewed and I'm wondering what to expect.

I have 35 books available about various educational topics - some are free others are very inexpensive. The An iBuild Opportunity series is about building publications for the iTunes Bookstore

How can you see the number of downloads? I am trying to check my free iBook but can't figured out how to do it.

Sign into iTunes Connect, go to "Sales and trends". There, you can browse the download history day by day or week by week.

Michi, I'm wondering how I see the perfomance of individual books in Sales and Trends. I've now loaded 3 books and don't know which book is trending or whether its just all of them. You must be able to differentiate and I've had a look at possible options but can't find any way to know which books are being downloaded. They are all unpaid. Thanks, FM

Now sure what you mean by 'convert', but if you mean pull a lever and be done, no. Making an app takes a magnitude of committent over making an ebook.

You can re-use the basic content, but know that it is more than common to be rejected during app review, and told to make a book instead, if you don't commit to something more than just repurposing the content.
