When pressing "alt cmd +" to zoom in in Pages it won't zoom in my document but my entire screen.
It worked perfectly so far, I don't know what I've changed...
Please help, it's really annoying to alway zoom over the menu bar...

I accidentally found the solution!
When looking through my settings I went to Accessibility and found something called "use keyboard shortcuts to zoom". It was activated and causes the zoom shortcut to zoom the entire screen. When disabled the document zoom in pages worked perfectly!
No idea how that got activated.

option command + / - zoom in /out on my screen as well. I am using an Australian keyboard.
That is an OSX system shortcut.
Have you tried command shift < / > ?
That is the zoom here and I presume in all versions of Pages.

Did you redefine the hotkeys for zooming in Pages?
When I go to my View menu, the Zoom in and out keys are Cmd > and Cmd <
(That's Command-Shift-> ...)
What do you see in your menu?
Have you recently installed anything that may alter your user interface?
Third Party utilities can capture keyboard shortcuts and have an amazingly obtuse habit of targetting common OSX shortcuts.

The + needs a shift key because it is on top.

No that doesn't do anything... As I said, it used to work and going over view - zoom it still shows me the command i was able to use (like in the photo) but instead of zooming in my document it zooms in the entire screen...

In the German version, the shortcuts are really cmd + alt + (key +)
and cmd + alt and (key -)
Here they work flawlessly when the keyboard is the German one.
No need for extraneous modifier key.
I must add that it seems that there is something playing the fool with shortcuts.
When I work with 10.7.3, a Mail shortcut (cmd + shift + U) is inactive and I was forced to create an alternate custom one (cmd + alt + U).

I understand that. It looks very much like SushiJ's keyboard (obviously German from the screen snap) is using American/English keyboard commands.

For the technical problem, I double checked after running Pages in Deutsch, I tested with the French keyboard and with the German one.

I've installed VLC media player and Evernote, though i can't tell or exactly remember if the problem occured right after installing one of them...
