Pairing apple tv with a Verizon fios remote

I just finished hooking up Apple TV3 and would like to know if anyone has paired the remote with the remote supplied by Verizon Fios?

Apple TV (3rd generation), Windows Vista

if the fios is programmable then you can point the apple remote at it and teach it how to work with the appletv

I have a logitech harmony and it works great that way

Thank you for your help. What Harmony remote are you using? The only way you can program the Verizon remote is by entering the components for digit code into the remote. The remote slows you to programs three different components.
