Restoring Address Book using AddressBook-v22.abcddb Clone File

User uploaded file I found the abcddb file in my CCC archives. I found a similar spot on my computer hard drive into which I can insert the file to restore my Address Book.

User uploaded file Inserting the, however, doesn't restore the Address Book. What am I doing wrong?

First I went to iCloud prefernces and turned Address Book to OFF. Then I shut down Wi-Fi and Etrhernet connections to the net. Next, I went to the App Support page shown immediately above and deleted the AddressBook-v22.abcddb file. (By the way, there was nothing in the Meta Data file???). Again I copied and pasted the AddressBook-v22.abcddb file I had receovered from Carbon Copy Cloner. This time it took and I was able to find the addresses in All Contacts in the Address Book, and now lots of items showed up under Metadata.

As a precasution, I've saved the .abcddb file, the Vcards and the .abbu files

Thanks🙂
