I have a Mac Mini 2011 Base Line Model, I upgraded to 4GB of Ram but I would like to upgrade to 16GB, I heard you could install 16GB but the Manual and Apple Website say it is only capable of up to 8BG. Is this true? I have also seen videos of people upgrading my model to 16GB but I am very confused.

True, but you should use a matched 16GB kit.

Yes, you can, I did a few weeks ago and it is running like a champ. NEVER even almost near running out of memory running anything.
I got mine from New Egg, it was way cheaper than OWC and Crucial.

The spec's for that Amazon RAM are not correct, they are 240 pin modules and the Mac Mini use 204 pin modules.

Amazon has it wrong. I know they require 204-pin. Look at the picture and the part number, it is the same as NewEgg

OK, I won't disagree with that.
Also nothing wrong with Corsair RAM, I bought two sticks for my Early 2006 iMac back it late 2006 and consider it to be excellent RAM.
The problem I have is not with Corsair, it is with Amazons return and refund policy compared to dealing directly with OWC, Crucial or even Corsair.
That is a very tempting price at Newegg as well. 😉

Mini Server and have seen no issues at all. I would
assume the 2X8 kits should be reliable as well and
Newegg is pretty good as far as bad part exchanges.
I did forget about that. NewEgg is great when it comes to returns and exchanges. I've never had to return anything from Amazon. I will take your words to heart the next time I order from Amazon. Actually I was really surprised Amazon had them for $30 less than NewEgg, because NewEgg usually has the best price, but now always. I would rather spent the extra money knowing I would not have a problem returning or exchanging an item purchased from NewEgg.

My Early Core Duo iMac (maxed out with a 2GB Corsair kit) is still a great system for the grandkids to learn and play on.
