Why won't my iPhone pair with Panasonic KX-TG7643 home phone?

I have a brand new Panasonic KX-TG7643 wireless home phone that is designed to link a up to 2 cell phones to the landline phone as well as transfer cell phone contacts. My iphone recognizes the device, however, after entering the default pin number (0000 according to the Panasonic Operating Instructions) the following message appears: "Pairing Unsuccessful Make sure 'KX-TG76' is ready to pair, the PIN code is correct, and try again." I have reset the phone, and followed every diagnostic and instructional procedure as given through Panasonic Telephone Support and the Operating Instruction Manual. The iPhone 3GS is listed by Panasonic as a compatible bluetooth enabled cellphone. The phone is ready to pair, the pin number is correct and my iPhone sees the device, so wht won't they pair? Panasonic Support thinks there is something wrong with my iPhone, which is currently running iOS 5.1 and pairs perfectly to my GMC bluetooth in my car.

Solved my problem after both of our iPhones updated they were dropped from the Panasonic phone...using the extension worked just fine after 30 minutes of trying to pair the phones using the base unit....THANKS!

I know this is an old thread, but I just wanted to say 'thank you'! I have the Panasonic KX-TG7871 (or maybe it's the KX-TG7874S; it has a second sticker pasted to the back) and I could not get it to pair with my new iphone 6s. It had previously been paired with my iphone 5s. After following the tip to use the hand unit, everything worked fine. Since I don't usually carry my phone around the house with me, this unit is a great convenience and thanks to you guys I can now use it with my new phone.

My iPhone 6 used to pair with my panasonic telephone. It still connects to bluetooth in my car, but I cannot get it to connect to the telephone. I've tried all the suggestions listed here and nothing works. Does anyone have anything else to try? Thanks

I'm having no luck with any PIN number. When I went to change the PIN on my base set, it asked me for my old PIN first! I have no idea what that is. I'm stumped. I've even tried my phone's lock code. I had a phone paired prior to this one and I know it was easy to pair. This one is paired with my car.

I've been able to go through all the steps everyone else has tried, but the PIN keeps me from pairing.

I followed the instructions, reset the pin, and the phone still won't pair.

I tried everything without success until I uninstalled Auxo. After that it was a piece of cake.

The combination of (1) forgetting any failed pairing attempts on your smart phone and (2) using the cordless phone's main menu Bluetooth for pairing is what worked for me.

I JUST REMEDIED A SIMILAR PROBLEM. UNPLUT THE PHONE AND SEE IF THAT WORKS AND START THE PAIRING OVER AGAIN

Hello , when your phone discovers the Panasonic the pin you must enter into the panasonic is your cell phone locked screen pin number.
