How do I get the date and time stamp from digital video metadata to appear on video importing in Final Cut Pro X or any other recommended video capture apps. Thank you.

The problem is that iMovie works in 32 Bits and doesnt take advantage of 64 Bits or Multiple Cores making its rendering time too long. On the other hand FCP doesn't have a Timestamp option.

I used to waste hours importing video through a capture device. Also, it was a PITA to get video from all the investigators into the office. Now it's easy and the quality is lightyears better.
Copy. I stand corrected. This is how the older version worked. I just opened iMovie 9 to explore this. Thanks. Isnt it very time consuming becuase the video needs to be re-processed?
I have just purchased my first MacBook Pro with imovie 10 and this can't be done. Does imovie 9 insert the correct time and date that the recording was made ?
