Please provide the steps to reset (turn off) the voicemail notification.

This depends on your carrier, for AT&T press and hold 1 to access your voicemail>select 4>then 2 and follow prompts to change notifications.

Settings/Notifications/Phone

Here you can adjust the notification settings, like disable notifications altogether.
