It's bogus. I have seen one person who has an infection but is not in the database of infected machines and other person who is in the database but is definitely not infected. There are definitely a few people who seem to have the trojan. But judging from the amount of traffic here, the 500,000 number seems to have a few too many zeros compared to reality.
