Greetings!!
I am not able to force eject a CD.....
MacBook, iOS 5.1
open terminal and type:
drutil tray eject
if it doesn't work, restart your mac and when appearing apple's logo, press eject button times
Nothing was working for me. I must have a faulty motor to eject, but Dave Stowe's suggestion to hold it on it's side and let gravity help did the trick!
Response to mikokatsun post about shaking it.
This worked for us. A PC requires paper clip, Mac requires a good shake.
Option 1 worked right away! Thanks for the help!
"/usr/bin/drutil tray eject" worked for me, where other options failed. (including "/usr/bin/drutil eject")
Yes!! Holding the machine sideways with the disc slot facing down and shaking the **** out of it while clicking eject worked great for a workaround. Now to see about a permanent fix.
This works for me. Thanks!
Result! Thank you....
No. 5 did it!
Thanks
This is the best solution of all!
Option 1 helped me. Now trying to find an option that will work for a lost password
