New iPad shows incorrect cellular data usage statistics?

Along with the well-known issues with 3G connectivity (see https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3816436), my new iPad 4g+WiFi (32GB) seems to have another problem: the cellular usage statistics are totally wrong. I purchased the iPad on March 23rd and on the same date started my cellular data plan. Today, my iPad usage statistics show a cellular usage of 1.3 GB (download) + 90.6 MB (upload), while according to my carrier I only used 478 MB to date (both my personal page on the carrier's website and the carrier's customer care confirm that data). Anyone has the same problem? Could this problem be in any way related to the 3G connectivity issues?

Yes. Same issue here on TMN from Portugal. I only use 200mb, and iPad says 1,5GB!!!

I have the same problem in Germany! My carrier says i have used about 150 mb from 3. to 10. April! ,my usage says 6.7 gb! This happens when my Ipad is connected to wifi and is in standbymode over the night! Last night it was about 1.5 gb cellular usage but connected to wifi! Apple costumer care says they don't know the problem!

Same here...Europe...3G network unstable

Cell usage stats: 1.7GB Sent / 19.9GB Recieved

If this were accurate statistics reported, I'd be broke about now

Definitely looks like iPad can't tell the difference between cellular and wifi.

I have the same problem - White 64GB iPad (3rd gen) with Verizon 4G. On Sunday I used it as a hotspot for the first time, and the Cellular Usage tells me I used over 30GB total, while Verizon says I only used 300MB. I just about had a heart attack! I hope they get this bug fixed soon!

Same here. Verizon 4G 32gb New iPad. The iPad showed roughly 4GB usage but Verizon had me at around 800mb.

Yep, I was shocked to see my usage in one week to be 8gb, on a 10gb UK Orange monthly allowance. On my new iPad. The wifi usage seems to incorrectly associated to cellular.
