I have messed up the settings for my email account. I am on a family account set up by my son. How can I redo the set up. Thanks for your assistance

I have messed up my settings on my iPad. I am on a family setup arranged by my son who is in Tokyo and is hard to reach. Can anyone help me retrieve my settings to enable me receive emails @ Mac.com.

Delete the account and re-add it.

P.S. Mac.com no longer exists.
