Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
After I get all my chapter and text in, I go to the Table of Contents and the titles are different? They are not capped, wwell some are, they go off the page, not centered, etc. Looks like crap. They completely are different than the chapter heads in the regular content area? Is there any way to actually edit the TOC? I cannot seem to edit the text that shows up there.
I have never said this before in the 25 years + that I have been using Apple products but what a piece of crap this is. When I switch to portrait mode the chapter titles are in lower case, or some in title case. Book Title is blank. Go back to landscape and the old problem of the gray boxes continues in the TOC, each page of the TOC. I was going to write a review of the product on my blog which is read by many but if I write it now I will give it the biggest thumbs down I have ever done. I have spent hours creating a sample book that should have taken me minutes and this is without images???? What a disappointment.
This isn't normal, and I'd say there is something wrong with your installation. IBA has a its share of wrinkles, but not like this.
Have you tried using one of Apple's built-in templates? Do they work?
If they behave strangely too, I'd uninstall and reinstall IBA to see whether that fixes it. There is clearly something wrong with either your copy of IBA, or one of the system components IBA relies on.

I reinstalled OSX. It must have been corrupted somehow. Did the trick! Now I feel ashamed of myself for badmouthing Apple 🙂 Mea culpa.
There are worse crimes you could have committed ;-)
