Can anyone tell me where to find online chat support?  Can't find it easily on the apple website.

Actually the edit occurred in January 2017 while this thread dates back

to about 2012 or so. ~ And should've been changed without making it

appear as recent. Edits by community hosts may do that on occasion...

Just go to to Apple>Support> then tap on iPhone >and then on battery and charging problems>then tap on chat.

And doesnt really matter if your problem is not releted to it.It's just the way to chat live. They will ask you what your problem is any way.

Yes. Online chat support. Where'd it go? And "Express Lane" is... what? Where? No see. Is Apple cutting back on who gets to chat? If so, too bad. It really worked in the past. Let me now and I won't waste any time trying. I'll just crash a local Apple store. Like everyone else.

Online Chat support is available for many types of support questions. But if you are not willing to go through the Apple Support prompts, you will never get to the page where you see that option. Apple never offered a direct link chat line. Their support model requires you to go through the prompts to ensure that you have availed yourself of all other options. It takes all of 30 seconds to go through the prompts.

I tired filling out the forms and answering the queries. It seems my issue isn't important enough to warrant an actual chat with anyone, as it got me .....

Again, if a Chat service is available in your area for the issue you are reporting, then that will display along with other service options you may have including Scheduling a Call or Sending an Email. Not all three will show up for every type of service.

And there really is no need to re-post the same thing twice in a single thread.

Best of luck,

GB

Never did get anywhere. It was as though my issue wasn't chat-worthy. Get the impression Apple is really weaning down which queries they reply to, due no doubt to the sheer number of idots like me actually having problems with their iPhones they can't figure out for themselves.

Hey, thanks. That was a while back, I appreciate your offer. I'm seeing my iPhone phone app just lock up, fairly regularly. Have to reboot to use. Have updated the OS too. I wonder if I'm just wearing it out, and hoped an Apple chat might point me in the right direction. But really, all I have to do is get down to a store.
