Little Pop up then disappears

I was wondering if anyone experiences while on the internet, a little pop up window, that appears and then disappears very quickly? It's so fast that I can't make it out.???? Spyware??? It occurs very frequently. It seems to happen after I click on any result after a Google search, and even on a yahoo search result. This seemed to start happening after I upgraded to OS X 10.6.4

oops, I actually have 10.7.3, my mistake. What is really weird with this is, I'll be on a page, like yahoo, and then the screen will flash, almost un-noticble, and then I see that little pop up window. It's almost like a notification window, but it is there and gone before I can make it out.
